Studio Como

UI Design / Web Development

Overview

Our team at MATTER studio designed and developed the visual brand identity system for Studio Como. I was tasked with the scoping, content direction, UI and UX design and subsequent development of the new site which launched in the winter of 2018.

About the Client

Studio Como is a supplier of luxury European furnishings, serving Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. Their team of design consultants works with interior designers, architects, and homeowners to create customized furnishings, interior elements and accessories.

Visual Solutions

To maintain cohesion within identity:

Irregular image masks.
Monochromatic type and visual elements.
Whitespace.

Digital extensions:

Dynamic, scrolling parallax.
Unique, subtle hover states.

UX Solutions

The Challenge

Create a site which advertised products but funneled users into scheduling an appointment or expressing interest to the Studio Como specialists, rather than making a purchase.

The Solution

Straightforward calls to action and slide out contact forms. These forms allowed users to reach out at any time without taking them away from the page which they were viewing.

The Nerdy Stuff

The forms provided the Studio Como team with information on the users nearest showroom and general interests by dynamically populating submissions with basic data based on the URL on which the form appeared.
